Hi all,
I'm going to ask a question that has been asked before, but so far I have not been able to find an answer that comes even close to fixing the problem. I believe I know what the problem is but don't know what settings I need. So, here it goes:
I just bought a DCS-5020L camera and was able to set it up successfully. I can access the camera from my home computer through mydlink.com as well as from my cell phone using the mydlink lite app. However, on my computer at work I can't access the camera through the mydlink.com website. It does show up, but in the Live View it just says "Unable to access your DCS-5020L".
In many posts I have found, a similar if not the same problem was described and people immediately started asking about router settings etc. I believe the problem is solely a firewall issue at my work and NOT a router issue at home. I works just fine on my brother's PC at his house. Also, the camera can be accessed from my phone.
I believe the problem is that a certain port is blocked and needs to be enabled. Again, I see the camera in my mydlink.com account, but I can't get the live stream to work. Does anyone know which port I need to open so that I can see the live view at work? Are there any other confirmed solutions out there?
What have others with a similar or same problem done?
Thanks a bunch!
