Yeah agree, pc argues that the certificate is out of date - ignored that and away it goes....still no probs, surveillance working fine with my dlink cameras, Google fine so all the basic add-on's fine.....happy days.  :)

Said I would be back.... At the moment having logged in as Admin and formally logged out, the DNS-320L wont allow me to log back in, it states that someone else is logged in....unlike previous versions it doesn't seem to time-out. So its reboot at the moment or set the NAS to switch off during the night.

Unless anyone else has any bright ideas?

Update - After a couple of reboots of the NAS, the system has settled and timeouts as before and allows me to logon at various locations including my iPad. Fingers crossed, this build seems to be operating as it should.........

I've done the upgrade to 1.04b08.
The access from Firefox 32.0.3 doesn't work, so I use IE instead :(
But add-on section appears ! :) I don't try any add-on yet, because my priority is to install AjaXplorer add-on and it doesn't seem to be available. Anybody has got information about this release ?
On this thread, a link is done (is it an official Dlink repo) to some add-ons and AjaXplorer is not available for 320L.

I just downloaded 1.04 Beta 08 from here:
  http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DNS-320L

I then went to Applications > Remote Backup and enabled Remote Backup Server with a password.  Then when I SSH'd to the DNS320L and typed root as the user name, it gave me a busybox shell without having to enter any password.

I am wondering when this will get fixed, or if there is anything I can do so that root requires a password for any logon, including SSH.

Hi all,

I'm currently using firmware 1.04b07 obtained from D-Link Malaysia website.

What I found is that the uPnP AV server is not working. I have tried enable, disable service, change the shared folder, but the device is not visible in the network. Tested to browse using mobile phone, and it just not there.

I test share my song collection using windows media player 10, and dlna player in mobile phone can see the windows media player share.

Anybody have issue with uPnP AV?

Did firmware 1.04b08 manage to fix this problem?

Thanks.

FTP server seems next to useless.  I have just tried downloading around 700 files from the nas to my pc using ftp probably falls over every 15 files or so if that.  Using filezilla to connect I get errors that I have hit maximum 10 users logged on even just me with one download (not concurrent stream).  Frequent time outs and disconnects I have to sit looking at filezilla re-queuing file from Failed transfer tab.  Once it starts failing the only way is to stop and start the FTP Server but even that is tricky to do as when the FTP fails the http interface becomes very unresponsive and my only option it to power down the nas which is not ideal.
