Using NVR with camera events / accessing cameras directly
« on: May 16, 2014, 03:13:56 PM »

I'm considering buying one of these but want to make sure it will fit into my current setup / usage.

Right now I have a mix of 8 D-Link cameras (3x 5010Ls,3x 932Ls,1x 2332L,1x 2132L).  I have them setup to email pictures when the motion detection is tripped.  I also access them via the MyDLink+ Android app.

My questions are:
1) It is my understanding that you can only access one camera stream remotely from the DNR-322L.  If that is the case, is there any problem viewing the cameras directly from the MyDLink+ app instead of through the DNR-322L's remote app?

2) Can the cameras handle multiple simultaneous actions - for instance recording 24x7 uninterrupted to the NVR, sending the pictures of motion detection via email and being viewed remotely from the MyDLink+ app?

3) Any recommendations on an HDD to use?

I always recommend that prospective purchasers read the user manual before making any decisions to get a feel for how the device works.  Please see the following:

DNR-322L_MANUAL_1.2_EN.PDF

I can address your second question, and the answer is "yes" to all the items listed.
