Hi,

I'm tearing my hair out here and would appreciate some help.

I have a hardware revision A with firmware version 1.03.

Having had trouble with a 3Tb Seagate drive rescued from a Buffalo NAS (which died after barely one year), I found that firmware 1.03 doesn't work with HD over 2TB but 2.03 does.

So I downloaded 2.03 and, after some trial and error, upgraded successfully.

However, on reboot, under upgrade firmware, Admin still says it's 1.03!

I've repeated the process many times with the same result.

I tried upgrading to 2.05b but it wouldn't even upload.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Interestingly, when I go to the support page of D-link's UK site it says the latest firmware is 1.03?? Is it just lazy updating or are upgrades country specific?

I would be grateful for any information and help.

Thanks in advance

Just realised I actually have a DNS-320L which supposedly supports 6TB but always had problem when transferring files to it, which says I don't have permission to do anything, and the files don't play.
