Cannot access the internet
« on: July 21, 2009, 01:16:29 PM »

Hi guys! Im new here from Sweden.

Ive just bought a new DIR 855 but the thing is that when I use the installation wizard the first time I can connect to the internet wired and wireless and speed is awesome! But.......

When I pull the power plug out frm the wall and replug it, the router cannot access the internet. I can still log in to the router and the STATUS page is displaying that I am already connected to internet with correct IP, gateway, subnet and DNS. The DHCP is working.

Firewall and antivirus software is all OFF. Firewall in the router is OFF and I have tried to disable the QoS and traffic shaping but still no luck.

When I connect my pc direct to ADSL modem the internet works lika a charm.

I went back to the shop and brought a new DIR 855 and the funny thing is that I still got the same problem.....Im going CRAZY....!

I have tried the reset button but the router cannot access the internet. ::) ???

When I plug my old SMC router to the modem it works like a charm. Have anybody had the same problem?

My firmware is 1.12EU and hardware A2.

PS: there is a button on the right side of the router what does it do?  When I press it the button is blinking. DS
