Going back to 1.10b and its a little better.
« on: June 23, 2009, 11:24:49 PM »

Mac posted here that there is a memory leak and that is my view as well check out his post. I do firmware for a living and I was able to roll back to 1.10b ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir825/Firmware/ and it has stopped the freezing of the router for now. I'll try a backup to see if I have issues.

Let me know if you able to do this too. The force commands in tftp do not work in unix, it just hangs if I use anything other than the beta 1.10 or the 1.11 firmware.

I'm going to take this to work and let some of the old salty engineers hammer at it and perhaps they will find a way to force the lower firmware again. And, yes I'll take notes.

Night, Jason

I've confirmed the ability to downgrade to 1.10b.

The network guys hammered at the router for an hour and they were going to crack the case but I said its not worth the effort and we might not have found anything anyway.

Let me know if any of you find anything to downlevel this.
