New to the forum but a d-link client for 20+ years.  I have been out of the tech world for awhile due to illness.  I had a nice home network using an 860L hooked up to a u-verse router.  Now I have an AT&T ZTE hotspot.  I want to wirelessly connect the 860L router to it and use it to control the home domain. I cannot find anything on connecting the hotspot and the 860L.  Can anyone help?  am I looking at the wrong?  Mahalo for your help.

OK. what it looks like I am asking for is bridging, which is not supported for the 860L. Am I correct after the briefer on bridging? My goal in using the 860L is to have a domain to share 2 printers, a WD 1 terabyte cloud and a semi server / work station with a terabyte of raid 5 storage. Any ideas?

Ya, you'll need a bridge if your wanting to connect anything to your hot spot. I presume the hot spot doesn't have any LAN cable connector?

It maybe possible to do this:

Hot Spot> <Wireless Bridge>LAN wire>DIR-860L Wan port<>all other devices to LAN ports and WiFi from 860L I don't know if this would work or not...

Is there a way to make the server/PC running windows 7, the bridge between the hotspot and the 860L? The closest to a network connection on the hotspot is a mini USB used to charge it.  When I plug the USB into the PC, it wants to use it as a storage device. The Hotspot has SD and SIMM slots. I may be thinking too hard on this. I can probably pickup a wireless bridge for the price of a Chili's burger.

I think it best to install a Bridge to match the hot spots wireless speeds then see if connecting the 860L up as the host router...I think it should work ok.

What is the max Wireless connection rate speed and mode supported on the hotspot?
