Dlink DSG-1210-10p Setup Issues
« on: March 16, 2015, 07:14:23 AM »

Just wondering if anyone can help me out.

I have a DSG-1210-10P that i need to integrate into our network. Currently we have a Draytek 2830n that connect to the WAN and is also used as the DHCP server. I'm a newbie when it comes to Managed switches but i cannot get the DLink to comunicate with the draytek.

I need the the dlink to allow access through its ports to the draytek for DHCP addressing and Internet access.

Is the possible and if anyone could help it would be gratefully received

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?
  • Check cable between Modem and Router and switch, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended.

Review the User Manual for set up and configuration settings. If this is a managed switch with Smart capabilities, it maybe incompatible with your router SW. Most home class routers are more compatible with non-Smart switches or non managed switches. Check the support abilities of your router and see.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
