Transfer files to USB
« on: March 24, 2015, 02:07:23 AM »

Am I missing something or is there no easy way to transfer files from NAS to attached USB?
I want to give a mate some files I have stored

In My files I can copy between internal drives no problems.
I can also see the USB drive to copy from but after selecting copy, it only displays the two internal drives as options.
I also scheduled a transfer from internal drive to USB which works OK, but takes a few minutes to organise and then creates a folder name I don't care for.
So I have to plug it into PC to adjust names, etc
I can do it all copying from the PC of course but the transfer rates are slow via my modem
I have seen this question asked before, I just can't believe this option is not available!
Currently it would be quicker to transfer (for over 500GB) to 2nd internal drive, pull it out and drop it in an external case to give to a mate
