Failed firmware upgrade
« on: December 19, 2014, 04:58:10 PM »

Hi,

I just tried a firmware upgrade (using DAP1665_A1_FW111B05.bin) and it seems have failed and the device is now not responding.

When I power on the device power LED is bright for a couple of seconds, then it dims, then goes off. Wifi lights are off but ethernet light is flashing green.

Is there a recovery utility? or procedure?

Any ideas?

Ta

Thanks for your help.

I'm in Australia.

The "Emergency Recovery Mode" page you sent me to helped, but it's not fully correct for the DAP-1665.

It looks like you need to hold the WPS key down on power up to get to the emergency firmware upload page rather than the reset button.

And the unit responds on 192.168.0.50 rather than 192.168.0.1.

Thanks for your help, Gav
