Hi,
I was trying to add Wi-Fi to existing wired network. I was following advices from FurryNutz (very clear and logical), but when it comes to the subnet in our network (10.0.0.x, 255.255.255.255) – I can’t assign the right IP address. When I connect a computer to DIR-615 with wired Ethernet connection – everything is fine, I can use a static IP on my laptop. However, the IP address on a wireless network adapter can only get 192.168.0.x range.
I’ve tried to assign IP address without DHCP to no avail.
Then I’ve enabled DHCP, assigned the range 10.0… instead of 192.168…, even used DHCP reservation, but only get 192.168… subnet IP address for my wireless network adapter.
When I try to assign static IP 10.0… on the wireless network adapter – it’s not connecting to the network.
If it is not possible to change wireless subnet – I’d like to know about it.
Any advice is greatly appreciated
Igor
