Mapping Network Drive

Hello,

I have had our DNS-323 set up for quite some time.  To give you some background, we have 5 computers being backed up to the server.  I have given everyone a username and password.  I have mapped the network drives on each computer and the information will back up.

However...

When I shut down, and restart the computer each morning, I have to double click the network drive and type the password in for it to start its backup.  I guess I don't mind doing that, but getting everyone else to do that every morning is a different story.

I have the "reconnect at login" box checked when I map the drive, and I entered the username and password for each computer in when I mapped the drive as well.  Is there something else I should be looking for?

Which os's are you running? Firmware on the Device?

Windows XP Home SP3.  I am at home now just checking in on this so I don't know the firmware at this point.  I know its not the latest firmware.  I tried the latest here at home and it didn't make a difference.  I know I'm missing something small, I just can't find it.

Monday morning back to work...

I just finished installing Firmware v1.07.  I downloaded Easy Search 4.4.0.0 and mapped a network drive.  I wiped out what was on the server and am now backing everything back up on one computer.  Hoping that this will solve the problem.

A workaround is to create a batch file ( .bat or .cmd) and place it in the "startup" folder.
The batch will call the  Net Use   command.

For help with the command, open a CMD box by typing CMD in "Run" (after clicking on the start button)
Then type:      Net Help Use 

Each time the user logs in the batch will run and map the drive.

This is just a workaround but it should do the trick.
