Sound detection sensitivity issues!

Hi

the sound detection sensitivity is very high no matter how low you set it...thus it spams my mailbox
with useless notification mails...

is there a way i can fix this? other than the "sound detection level" i tried to lower the "volume settings"
but still low is not very low! so it's easy an  important notification to pass unseen with all this spam mail.
