I'm in need for a repeater, and I'm thinking of simply buying a DLink router which supports repeater mode because it's cheaper than a real repeater.
Looking through some ads,  a seller claims in the spec that DIR-615 (at least the one he sells) supports  Repeater mode.
Is there really some hardware revision of DIR-615 that supports Repeater mode  with factory firmware ?
I  could not identify the  hardware revision from just the photo.   Can anyone help ?

Browsing thru internet doesn't say anything about repeater function

The 615 model does not support any repeating features.
I believe the 5 series does and I think the 605L does. You'd have to look at the users manuals to check. There are a few DAP models that support some extender range features as well.
