Next 1.06 beta firmware to be released within 24 hours
« on: August 14, 2015, 10:57:17 AM »

I just got confirmation that the next release firmware is in final testing and *should* be pushed out within 24 hours or so. This will address the HTTP & UPnP buffer overflow vulnerabilities.
I'm glad D-Link is still updating this router as this is the best router I have ever owned and deployed. It NEVER needs to be rebooted and will just run forever. The beamforming actually works vs many of the gimmicky routers on the market. The 2.4GHz range and speed beats the Netgear N7000, which is one of the most popular today especially in the DD-WRT circles. 5GHz speed means nothing if your signal is weak and can't connect.

No, that vulnerability has already been patched with the 1.05b01 firmware. This latest firmware to be released will address these two vuln's:

As promised, D-Link did release firmware 1.06b01 today:

http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63264.0

Thanks developers for the great service.

However, I did notice that on the DIR-645 support page, the firmware listed is about 2 releases behind from 4/19/15:

http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-645

This should be updated as many users might think the 1.04b13 is the latest release leaving them unpatched to the latest vulnerabilities.
