Based on my experience with earlier generation cameras in this product line (DCS-932L, DCS-931L), these cameras are susceptible to noise from environmental factors, especially when it comes to visual/audio artifacts and impacts to motion detection. For that reason alone I would avoid introducing potential environmental concerns.

Technically, you may not be able to do this. The DCS-930,32,33,34L cameras have a 1-1.2 Amp requirement on the 5v supply. All 5v are not equal. The wire in an RJ45 may be more of a fuse than a conductor.
