I need some interpretation on some of the screens in the 860L Admin console.

What is the difference between the Setup/Network Settings "Number of Dynamic DHCP Clients" table
and the list of LAN Computers on the Status page?

I have a Netgear WN3500RP that I am using as an extender via a LAN connection.  It's currently being assigned a DHCP from my router but I don't see it in my DHCP clients so I can't assign its MAC Address a dedicated IP Address for troubleshooting purposes.  It is however listed in the LAN Computers.

Some routers may not pick up wireless /extenders bridges or devices running in promiscuous modes. Thus the Dynamic Clients lists may not be detecting it however the Status page does. Also if you have a static IP address on a device, it won't appear in the Dynamic Clients list on D-Link routers. In your case this would be ok as well. You can set a static IP address on the device, if it supports this and use an IP address out side of the routers default IP address pool. That way you know what the IP address is always and it wont change.
Did you reboot the router before or after connecting the extender to the 860 to see if it would detect it correctly?

One more question,  I run my 860L with a 15 port switch and I have 5 Wifi extenders that feed off of it with about 15 wireless devices (phones, chromecast, echo, DVD players, kindles, ipads, laptops etc) and 10 wired computers.  Will this router support that kind of configuration?

Wow, I think it should. I have a 24pt along with 3 smaller switches behind it. No sure about 5 other wifi extenders. 5 wired APs maybe if they are doing there own wifi however channels maybe come crowded and noisy.

Thanks, I thought the router should be able to handle the load but I had heard some people say that a lot of wireless traffic could cause problems. I run two of the extenders as wired APs and the rest are all pretty well line of sight.

So right now I have the DHCP range as 100 to 199 and I assign all my hard-wired computers other random stuff (NAS, Chromecast, APs, etc) to IP Addresses below 100 and my printers to address above 200.  I think the thing that I might have mixed up is that it looks like I should assign the IP Addresses of devices from the DHCP reservation menu, I noticed that when I set my printers up I configured their IP address on the devices themselves which means I can't see them since I set they are outside the DHCP range.

Ya if you have many wifi devices then spreading them across multiple APs will help with the bandwidth load.

As for assigning IPs, think of it as this, Any devices that needs router management or QoS configurations or Port Forwarding kind of thing, set up Reserved IP addresses ON the router for those. Things like PCs or gaming consoles would use this method. Items like printers, Wired APs, cameras, sensors, controllers and some low priority Pads and Phones that don't need any router management, much internet or any, use Static IP addressing ON the device. This will free up IP reservation pool as well since D-Link routers have a limited pool. I have all my printers, NESTs, 2ndary APs and a camera set this way.
