D-ViewCam LiveView (remote location)
« on: December 16, 2015, 10:11:29 AM »

Hi Guys,

I have been using D-ViewCam 3.6.0 for about a year and a half now, works great. I just saw that there is a new version which i plan on upgrading too.

I am trying to insall D-ViewCam on a remote PC to view the cameras. During the install, i go into Custom Installation and choose just the LiveView feature. It installs fine and i am able to connect to my main server, but i can only view one camera at a time! I can see all the cameras listed on the side, but I am not able to connect to all of them at the same time. What am i doing wrong??

Is this happening with the newest version of DVC?
Are you trying to connect an older version of DVC to the newer version?

Possible that connecting to all may not be supported on a remote connection?
Might phone contact D-Link support and ask about this.

Ok, so i updated both the Main console PC and the remote PC from 3.6.0 to 3.6.4, but still the same issue. You can only connect to one camera at a time, which seems odd. Looking more into this, it looks like others are having the same problem and looks like its just the way the software works? I saw that it was listed in the thread for things to be fixed in newer versions of the software, but that was also a couple versions ago. Not sure if it will be fixed.

Any other software i can use to view my cameras remotely on another PC that you guys are familiar with?
