DFE 550tx

Help, if at all possible.  My nephew dropped our tablet under the rear wheel of our car.  The poor thing died really ugly.  So I pulled a Dell Dimension 8100 off the storage shelf and took it from Win XP SP 3 to Win 10 Pro.  Now I cannot get to the network.  Win 10 can't find the controller or driver.    Next, I downloaded the driver and installed it and Win 10 threw-up again and said that there is a problem with the INF file.

Is there a driver for Win 10, I realize that the adapter is old school, but until the upgrade to Win 10 it worked just fine, so it is not a hardware issue.  Don

Sorry, this unit hasn't been developed on for 15 years now. Went into EOL in 2009.  I recommend you get into a newer PCI NIC card for windows 10 at least.

15 years old, no wonder it is at EOL!!  I got this about a year ago.

Can you recommend a better adapter with the D-Link product set?

Not sure if D-Link makes wired LAN adapters anymore. I have had good luck with Broadcom, Realtek and Intel adapters in the past. I'd get into Gb adapters at least. There not expensive.
