Configuring users/perms for bittorrent sync add-on

Regarding bittorrent sync add-on version 1.09 for DNS-320L.
(This file name: DNS-320L BitTorrentSync Package v1.09_01212016)

Is there a way to configure the ownership/permissions of the shared files?
I'm finding the application is writing the files as owned by root with read-only permission by other users.
Because I also access these files as a Windows share, I would like to modify them by other users via the Windows share.
