Cant delete from P2P directory
« on: February 25, 2016, 08:22:44 AM »

Hi

Last night I was using the P2P app on the nas but deleted the torrents and the files being downloaded remained in the P2P/Incomplete directory. If I try to delete these files I get told I need permission from unix/root. I'm trying to delete them through windows explorer, I've tried using take ownership but it doesnt seem to do anything. Does anyone have any ideas how to delete these files ?

If I log into the nas through the web front end and use the file manager I can only see Volume_1 and not the P2P directory above it. I'm logging into the nas with Admin but obviouslt I cant access the nas as admin through windows.

Any help is appreciated

Cheers

I may be wrong / second guessing

but login from windows might be   admin and password field blank  -  this may be because you've not set/changed admin password

I can log in with the admin pass through a browser (firefox). The way I'm trying to delete the files in windows is by typing the ip into windows explorer (\\192.168.0.25) then going into the P2P directory abd trying to delete the files

If you are using windows explorer you should use the 'Network' setting to find your NAS.  It should then ask you for username and password, with the option of saving the password.  This should allow you to login to your NAS and, hopefully, do what you want.

The forging assumes win 7 or 8.  Win 10 has problems with CIFS/SMB which makes connections problematic to say the least.

I'm using Win10, if I go through Network it just lets me straight on to the nas . Is tbere any way to di it via ftp and chmod the permissions ? Or is that just wishful thinking ?

Try the QuiXplorer addon  http://dlink.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/

I have JDownloader 2 addon installed and the only way to delete from the MyJDownloader folder is from QuiXplorer
