Can't delete??
« on: March 13, 2016, 11:32:32 AM »

Trying to delete files that my security cam put in their designated folder.. As there's getting to many of them, I tried clearing some out. But everytime I delete the files, when I go back in the folder all the files are back, as if nothing ever happened???

Please help

I cannot confirm  but it works for other folderers/files created by "other" addons"

Install QuiXplorer addon - login - browse to folder - check the files you need to delete and hit the big red X

Cheers for this... But it doesn't open the folder, as there's now so much stuff in there (upload from my security cam) the folders time out when trying to access them..

Is there anyway I can still access the folder, so I can delete some files?

Cheers

My only offer of advice, although I have zero experience in this, would be to assess how your camera and camera software is setup to store data - some software allows over write and set data storage limits (older files would be deleted).

I do know another camera security software that does allow these settings - maybe if you add more details   Storage Device (make model), Camera (make model), Camera software (name & version)

Also check if the files are set to read only.

How did you originally try to delete the files, from your PC or through the camera software?
You say that the folders 'time out' when you try to access them.  Is this from your PC via CIFS/SMB in windows explorer under networks?  If it is what are your CIFS/SMB settings?
