Simultaneous use of emailed photos and 24x7 record cuts out?

Does anyone have their device and cams setup so that the cam takes and emails snapshots to you while the DNR records the same cam 24x7. On motion when a photo or photos are sent to you, does the playback video cut out? I have everything configured that way and on playback it seems their are voids in the playback video at the time a photo is taken. The are not long but I can see a break then restart of the video it seems. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
