DNS321 Power Adapter (Power Supply) Green LED Blinks - Unit doesn't start.

Hi,

 I have a DNS321. It has been working fine for a couple of years now. Currently the unit will not start. The Power adapter i.e. JTA0512 has a green led on it which blinks when connected. When I press the power button on the DNS321, nothing happens.

 I have a feeling the power adapter is dead. I think I have seen a solid green light on the power adapter before when it was working (As opposed to a blinking green light). Have any of you had this issue before? Any tips on how to fix this?

I just bought a used one of these, and it is doing the same thing. Did you ever find out what the problem was?

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

If the green LED on the power supply brick is blinking it indicates the power supply is on the brink of dying (usually one or more of the capacitors has started to deteriorate so the unit does not supply enough power).

Test your NAS by using another power supply that has the same output voltage/s and amps as the original (the amp values can be higher).
