D-ViewCam D-Link camera does not connect

Hi All

Need help with the following problem.

Equipment: D-Link camera model DCS-5222LB1

OS: Windows 7 - 64

F/W Ver.: 2.03

Downloaded the D-ViewCam version as of recent.

Problem: Cannot connect the camera with the D-ViewCam dashboard.

I am able to connect the camera over the internet profile. But that has limited functions.

Error message on D-ViewCam: Failed to open COM1 for communication. PTZ cameras or I/O devices may not work properly. Please see if any other programs block COM1.

Did you install DVC with Admin rights upon launching the installation program?
What version of DVC are you using? v4?

Be sure to disable any PC security software while installing the camera.
Can you test DVC with a different PC to see if the problem persists?
What Mfr and model Main host router are you using?
Both PC and Camera connected to this router?
