D-Link 320L NAS access from windows 10
« on: January 07, 2017, 09:34:33 AM »

Good Morning,

I have a D-Link 320L NAS mounted as a virtual hard drive on a Windows 10 PC and on a laptop with the same operating system. After trying to mount an FTP over the NAS, I created an FTPuser user (there was no user created until then) and from there the NAS virtual drive stopped working on both the PC and the laptop. After investigating a bit, I sensed that Windows 10 did not support this old NAS with users, so I deleted the accounts and it worked again on the laptop (after asking for a setting I do not remember) but not on the PC. Below I show the screens.

This is what the windows explorer recognizes as networked devices.

We see this by clicking on D-Link 91D98D

This is the windows message when you want to access Volume_1 on the PC. In the notebook, the content is accessed without having to enter a password.

The NAS log shows failed [admin] access for the PC and a successful admin login for the laptop.

This is what the tab Properties on the PC shows.

And this what it shows in the Portatil (where it works well)

Clicking on change owner shows in both cases the same window.

I think it must be a permission problem. I do not have the possibility to restore the system to a previous state because it was not configured. Any ideas?

Thank you.
