Yes, I have read the forums and I see this router gets a major negative feedback, is this all that needs to be known? Not quite.
The majority of the issues I see happening with this router are based on platform console machines and the wireless network, does anyone have ethernet connection problems running 1 or more PC's ONLY from the router via the ethernet ports with RJ45 cat5 cables?
Reason I am asking this is because I run 3 computers from home and am currently using a 504T-Gen III router and I notice a major bandwidth decrease when all 3 computers are on the internet. When its 1, its 100% fine, the router just can't do what needs to be done with 3 comps uploading through it.
For the most part, I am a avid gamer, all 3 comps are usually running the same program which is MMO based. When all 3 comps are running the same program ingame, I notice lag, big time. Have troubleshoot the thing to death and updated all the latest firmware, but this has been an ongoing issue for a long time now, I noticed it when I first got it, but I was well aware that it was a possibility to begin with.
So, I am basically wondering if anyone has success using a wired connection to a PC and not a console via wireless, I could careless about wireless, never liked it too begin with.
Is there any new routers out today that can handle the bandwidth of 3 computers being thrown at it?
Cheers for the info.
