Network access problem
« on: August 06, 2009, 06:38:10 PM »

I just bought the DNS-323 and for now I have a 1TB WDC Caviar Green in slot 1.

1. While formatting the HDD, it got stuck at 94% but i eventually solved it.
2. Have copied some files to the network drive and able to map Volume_1 to both pc and laptop
3. Tried to set access control to certain folders but encountered problems with the control panel. See below.
4. Appreciate if anyone can give advice.

this may be because there is no files or folders under it.
try mapping to the native drive - usually "\\<IP>\Volume_1
and create a folder/file then try.

The NAS already contains my data and I've already mapped drive and using it without issues in windows explorer. But when I try to choose folder in the NAS control panel, it always pop up a blank window.
It's the same when you click the brose button in UPnP AV server

If you restart the unit from the Web UI and log back in does it still show this?
