EBR 2310 MTU
« on: September 13, 2009, 10:28:17 AM »

EBR 2310, REV B, FIRMWARE 2.01
PC O/S (XP PRO SP3 and LINUX)

I am only able to get 1000kbps from a 11500kbps connection if I set the Dlink EBR MTU above/below 1440.

-The EBR is set for a cloned mac, under setup>manual configure>Dynamic IP (DHCP) Internet Connection Type :
-The device has been reflashed, set to default settings, all firewall settings disabled, all settings under "Application Level Gateway (ALG) Configuration" unchecked.
-I have this issue with two different EBR 2310's (both are REV B FIRMWARE 2.01)
-When the EBR 2310 is set to MTU 1440 I am able to get 10500kbps.
-I have a Dlink DI-604, which I am also using mac cloning on, the MTU is set to 1500, when using the DI-604 I am getting 11500kbps.

I'm not sure how I'm loosing 1000kbps on the EBR 2310 compared with the DI-604.

I've experimented with several MTU settings 1500, 1492, 1472, 1440, and etc.

On the pc side I am using ping ip_addr -f -l xxxx to find out max MTU.
