Laptop can't connect
« on: August 16, 2009, 03:15:23 PM »

I had this strange error happen to me today.  I've had my dlink dir-615 (firmware no. 2.25) for some time now and hadn't seen this.  Only one laptop (toshiba p305d-s8995e) had trouble connecting.  It kept asking for the key.  I would type it in to no avail.  Since I only have on n-wireless laptop, I changed all to g and rebooted the router.  Nothing changed.  I've matched the mac address and the logs are as follows for it:

INFO] Thu May 20 22:14:38 2004 Wireless system with MAC address 00242BB3F275 disconnected for reason: Received Deauthentication.

[WARN] Thu May 20 22:13:19 2004 A network computer (PC) was assigned the IP address of 192.168.0.198.

I then rebooted my computer and was able to log in.  I just don’t know why this happened in the first place.  Any ideas?

Have you tried disabling the Wifi Protected Setup on the router?
