DLINK DIR-625 does'nt work with DLINK DCS-920 Internet Camera.
« on: November 01, 2009, 08:13:56 AM »

I have a DIR-625 Rev C (v3.02) and I'm sure I have Dynamic DNS set up propertly.
I tried it with both DLINKDDNS and DYNDNS.com and pointed both the router and cam to my respective accounts.
I also have a virtual server rule created forwarding port 81 (Public) to port 80 (private) to pass to the DCS-920
When I place the camera on a DMZ port it functions perfectly from across the Internet but that is the ONLY way I can get it to work.
If I take it off the DMZ I can log onto the camera but I get no picture under Active-X and a Java error under Java.

I look at the logs and ports are definately being blocked on the router when I connect.
The ports are so random there is no way I can create port forwarding rules to accomodate.

I have a feeling I want to enable UPnP but I don't see a setting anywhere for this.

Any suggestions?

Yes partner I'm having the same problem with my DIR-625 wireless router and DCS920 camera. However I tested the d-viewcam over the internet and it works fine.
So it is only with the browser Java or ActiveX it does not work. I wish D-Link  staff could tell us way. if you are on the same side of the network everything works great including Java and Activex but going through the router something is getting filtered.

is it using a different port each time to update images?
