Watch-dog constantly rebooting the device
« on: January 23, 2019, 11:32:53 AM »

I am noticing in the logs that `watch-dog` keeps rebooting my camera. Sometimes it is every five minutes for hours and sometimes it doesn't for a day. I have two of these cameras on the same network, both outside, and only the one is having this problem.

At times, the reboot seems to put the device in a bad state where I can not access it at all and have to do a power cycle to get it going again. Sometimes multiple power cycles are required.

I am using the latest firmware 2.00.

This is a sample of the logs:

I see D-Link Canada created a ticket for you with the engineers (D-Track) so hopefully they will figure out what is happening.

I can’t log into the device anymore due to this http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=74502.0

But I’ll reset it again tonight, take out the SD card and post an update. I find it does it more during the day than at night so I’ll wait til the evening to see how it performs

Removing the SD card seemed to help recovery after watch-dog does its thing but it still goes off just as frequent. :-\ So I'm back at square one.

Ok, was curious about the SD card.

Hopefully D-Link Canada will be able to get you working again. Keep us posted.
