Hello
On my home network, using a D-Link 256Gb, I'm seeing a discrepancy between my internet usage and the statistics the router is showing.
I have one laptop only (macbook air) connected to the router via WIFI (on the only channel enabled - 2.4GHz), no other devices are connected to the network. There is no file sharing going on my network (not locally nor remotely, no p2p or anything of the sort). My internet activity includes surfing the web and watching Netflix.
Yet, on the LAN level I see an immense amount of data being transmitted (an order of magnitude higher than the data being received).
On the laptop however (activity monitor) I don't see that discrepancy. The WAN stats are also in line with my internet usage and show higher amounts of data being received than transmitted.
What could be causing this? I do have a dispute the neighbours and we share the same telecommunications infrastructure. Could they be spaying on me?
