DVG-5004S connection

Hello all,
I have 2 DVG-5004S VoIP gateways. I will make direct connection between 2 gateways by Fiber optic cable and using WAN interface. Fiber optic cable lenght is 14km and I'll use DMC530SC media converter. Then I will connect telephones to FXS  interface of gateways. This network is without another network device (router, switch ... etc).  Can I make call between two telephones? Is it possible?
