DAP-1522 as AP, 192.168.0.xx vs 192.168.1.xx
« on: June 13, 2010, 12:18:55 PM »

Trying to install a DAP-1522 as an Access Point.

I currently have a 2Wire 2701HG-B DSL Modem connected to a D-Link DGS-2205 switch which I am also trying to connect the DAP-1522 to.

In the instructions it states "Make sure that the PC has an IP address of 192.168.0.xx and the subnet is 255.255.255.0". Unfortunately my PC and everything else on my network seems to have an IP address of 192.168.1.xx and I don't know how to change this. I thought this was assigned by the ISP?

I've tried connecting the DAP-1522 to both the PC (with no network connection) and to the switch (connected to both the PC and the Modem) and I can't get to the setup wizard by entering Dlinkap, 192.168.0.50 or 192.168.1.50.

All help appreciated.

go to network connections on the pc attached to the 1522 local area con  r click properties >go to internet protocols l click properties >radio button use following ip > put in 192.168.0 22 , subnet 255.255.255.0 then okay . log into 1522 then set it up , after set up put things back the way they were
