Monitor bandwidth used by each LAN Port of DSL-2750U Router
« on: August 26, 2012, 02:47:12 AM »

Hi everybody!

I am from South Africa.  The router that I am using is a D-Link DSL-2750U.  I do not have a network set up, but I do have two computers plus a wireless laptop using the router to access the internet.  The router is connected directly to my main computer via one of the ethernet LAN ports while the second computer is connected to the router via one of the other LAN ports.

The wireless one uses, well, a wireless connection.

Now to my question:  is there a way that I can see how much data flows through each LAN port (uploaded and downloaded — split, if possible) as well as how much data flows through the wireless connection?

Each member of my family seems to be downloading more than we each claim to be using, and while my ISP can tell me the upload and download statistics, it, obviously, daos not show it per LAN port, or computer attached to the router.

Any such software available, please?

With kindest possible regards

Thanks FurryNutz!

I'll give it a go.  Is there nothing free out there that you know of?

Might do a web search and see what else is out there.
Good Luck.

I actually did that before I happened to think to use D-Link and Forum in the search phrase...

I seem to have a problem expressing myself when it comes to software and hardware terminology.  I thought that other users may use the same silly phraseology, but I ended up with everything expecting me to be on a network - which I am not.

Your words "on each pc" made a light pop up.  I could possibly use of the other stuff that I'd found and also install them on each pc as you'd suggested, but I'll have to see whether they'll do what DU Meter does.  And if I end up paying after the free first month, then it'll also be OK (I think!).   :)

Cheers!
