DHCP rservations limited to 25 now?
« on: December 11, 2010, 04:25:33 PM »

I've used a DGL-4300 since 2005 or so with fantastic results.  Bought a DGL-4500 a couple months ago and got around to trying to move all my settings over to my 4500 last week.  Was really bummed to discover that the 4500 has a limitation of 25 DHCP reservations (the 4300 had no such limit).  Anyone know the reason behind this?  I'm on the latest firmware...

Had no choice but to pack the 4500 back up and put it in the parts closet.  D-Link, any chance this will be addressed in a future firmware?

Not sure if they have reviewed this issue or not. There already has been some talk of this before.

Curious, what FW do you have loaded right now?

Thank you for the response and the link, FurryNutz - I searched for the issue on these forums but apparently my search-fu sucked  ;D

The firmware I had loaded was 1.23NA.  I unboxed the router and went straight to the D-Link site for a firmware ugprade (it came with 1.20 I believe).  Back on my DGL-4300 now and the 4500 might become someone's Christmas gift =[

cheers
