Ok, I realize that different manufacturers like to blame each other for problems like these so this may fall on deaf ears, but I'm passing it along anyway.
When connecting to a Netgear WGR614V9 router, the router log shows a DOS (Denial Of Service) attack coming from the 1522. Some behavior of the 1522 appears to be a DOS attack.
I have an XBOX 360 and a laptop connected through a D-LINK router to the 1522. With the laptop directly connected to the Netgear router it still happens from the 1522 so it's not software on the laptop.
I can try it with the 360 off but it was not logged into XBOX Live for one of the tests so I don't think it's causing it. That leaves the DGL-4500 as the only other thing connected through the 1522.
I don't think this is causing a problem but you definitely don't want to trigger a firewall on a router to block the 1522 since you don't know what router customers are going to bridge to.
I was using the 1522 to connect an XBOX 360 to a friend's network. It worked fine when manually set up to connect to his 108G Netgear but when we hooked up his new router before I left there were problems.
He "upgraded" to a Linksys WRT120N. The WiFi Protected Setup didn't seem to work. I pushed the buttons on the two devices and they just blinked until they timed out.
Repeated attempts failed and I even had to hard reset the 1522 at one point.
I gave up and left but WiFi Protected Setup should work with any manufacturer's product.
I did discover the cable with the 1522 had a problem (only worked when in the right position) but shouldn't the 1522 WiFi Protected Setup work if it's switched to bridge mode even if a cable isn't connected?
