DWA-160 Xtreme N Dual Band USB Adapter

if use the DWA-160 Xtreme N Dual Band USB Adapter with dgl 4500 gaming router will that basically let me use 5ghz and 2.4ghz at the same time?

Dual Band, meaning you can use either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz ranges for your connection.  It does not say simultaneous which means you can run both at the same time.  It's either one or the other.  If you'd like simultaneous bands, get a DIR-855, or 825 as those I believe support simultaneous bands.

oh ok....well if ur router is on 2.4ghz and u add the adapter can the adapter be on 5ghz...iam pretty sure thats wats if for but iam just making sure

the DGL-4500 is Dual Band selectable. Which means: 2.4ghz only or 5ghz only.. Not simultaneously.
That said, If you have a wireless adapter that supports 2.4 and 5ghz you can set your router to 2.4 or 5ghz but can't have both at the same time. Like Reinvented said, if you're looking for dual band concurrent check out the DIR-855 or DIR-825. those 2 routers are capable of dual band concurrent
