[SOLVED] Terminal Server + DFL-210 + Router ADSL
« on: September 24, 2009, 02:12:04 PM »

Hi to all:

I am a inexpert in DLink DFL-210. Please, I need some help about configuring this FireWall.

The scenario is the next:

1.-Router ADSL which makes NAT from internet traffic to LAN.
2.-DFL-210 between the router and the LAN.
3.-The router is NATing to the LAN and fordwaring RDP port(Terminal Services) to the IP of the Terminal Services Server located in the LAN.
4.-DFL-210 is configured in Transparent Mode. It works fine to give services from the LAN to the WAN.
5.-Router connected to Wan Port of the FireWall
6.-One of the Lan Port of the fireWall connected to the LAN (Switch)
7.- Router IP ...254
8.- FireWall WAN IP ...253
9.- FireWall LAN IP ...252

Its easy,

I have in mind that DFL-210 is a little bit hard to configure compared with others firewalls. The only that i would like to do is open the RDP Service in the firewall and allow traffic from the WAN port to the LAN, because the router is NATing the IPs and RDP Portfordwaring to the Server located in the Lan.

Ip Rule -> ALLOW from source (WAN/WAN-NET) to (LAN/LAN-NET) with Service RDP.

But this configuration does not performs.

What I need to do in this firewall??
Can somebody help me please ?

Best Regards

Change the source to WAN/All-Nets and for securities sake make the destination LAN/Server_IP
