Same problem
« on: October 15, 2009, 05:46:53 PM »

Ok, So I have been experiencing the reboots a lot when I play my PS3. It worked fine until I add the hardwired computer in the office were the router is. I have called d link many times not thinking that it worked fine until I plugged in the office computer. What happens is I get on the PS3 I get a error messsge " You have been disconnected from the Access Point" then the internet is loss and the router reboots. When the PS3 is not on it works fine. So to night I unplugged the computer in the office and got on PS3 and no problems whatsoever no lag nothing worked like it did before the computer was plugged in. Is there so way to fix this maybe a setting on the computer or router any help would be great.

Thanks,
Roscoe

Hi,

Just a few thoughts....

Maybe a bad ethernet cable.... or possible a crossover cable being used instead of a passthru (normal) cable....

Maybe a flaky power wart....

Router in vertical orientation as opposed to horizontal.....  Maybe its overheating with the extra wired pc being plugged in....

Try different ethernet port....might have a defective port.... or ports....

I have switched cables didn't think of the passthru(should that go from router to computer?)
Router is in the Vertical position
I will try another port right now and see if that helps.

but it seems to work fine when ether or is operating by them selves  but when together is when we get the problem.
