WAN Ping Question

In turning on the WAN Ping setting, is there any security risk that I should be concerned of?

I mainly just want to see what (if any) changes it makes to my Xbox Live gaming.
My network is pretty simple. 2 computers and an Xbox 360 hardwired to the router and 1 wireless laptop.
All  computers have high quality firewall / anti-virus software and run regular windows updates.
