problem with ftp
« on: December 21, 2007, 08:04:55 AM »

Hi im having problems with the ftp on the dns-323. i setup a few users and tried to access it from work. it works from some pc's but not others. we use a standard image for administrative staff and it seems to work from all of those, but it doesn`t seem to work from mine or the other guys in the IT dept. just wondering if there is some microsoft update that prevents it from working.

from my pc i can get in the ftp and see the folder list, but when i click on a folder it always times out. also i've tried with IE7, firefox and filezilla ftp client

I agree! I've tryed accessing it a few time, I would like to connect to it using my laptop to access my files anywhere and it connects usually once then freezes and has to be manully rebooted, Some times, I can get a file or two, and sometimes the ftp program just wont connect, or It will connect but you can;t see the devices or files,  pain in Da A$$, this is why I bought this

Hope they can make the ftp work better or even create a Dlink FTP program to use with it that works nicely, seems to work ok using command but thats time consuming and you have to rememebr alot of stuff, I prefer GUI.

I have firmware 1.0.3 and I seemed to have a similar problem, but I have attributed to the DNS-323 forgetting the users path (location on the drive each user is assigned) info, after a shutdown and re power-up.  Is anyone else having this problem?  It comes right up after I reload my saved settings, weird?
