PS3 Doesn't find UPnP server...
« on: November 02, 2009, 10:48:40 AM »

Hi,
I just bout this device mainly because i wanted to use it with my PS3.
Right now only thing its good for is file sharing and Itunes.
When I set up the UPnP server and hit refresh it stays at 0% and just stays there.
What should I do??

What folder are you setting the UPNP AV server to? Can you give a brief example of your folder structure on the NAS? Have you tried setting it to one individual music/photo/video folder and attempting a refresh?

Sorry for the late reply.
Now I have two folders in the Volume 1... music and movies.
I went to upnp settings and browsed and set the movies directory there. Now I can refresh. But I still dont see the media server on my ps3

What is the IP address of the NAS and what is the IP address of the PS3? Is your PS3 wireless?

the DNS-323 will only serve video formats it recognizes.

which video format are you trying to stream?

i know that firmware 1.07 and back does not support .mts videos (AVCHD encoded HD videos).
