Fix Issue with internet after upgrade to fw 1.12na
« on: October 31, 2009, 07:57:15 PM »

I did the mistake to upgrade the original firmware 1.01 to 1.12na, and after this my internet conection to wifi was messed up i dont know why, so i try to change everything because the response of my wifi to the webpages was so slowly like 5, 10 sometimes 30 seconds to open the page. i try to contact the support so they  gave me some crazy directions that i gave up and try to fix myselve, so to someone that is having the same issue, lazy wifi response to open webpages do this, change the router ip from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.2.1 and the dchp client range from: 192.168.0.100 / 192.168.0.199 to 192.168.2.100 / 192.168.2.199. after this my wifi response came back like to the original firmware 1.01 time, i hope this change help many people as help me

I have the same hardware version (A1).  After updating from 1.01 firmware to 1.12 NA, there were problems.  Wireless clients did not show in the Status tab and Shareport would not work (the updated, 1.10 version).  There were also wireless performance issues.  D-Link customer service recommended the previous version of firmware.  I downgraded the firmware to version 1.11NA.  All problems seem solved.  Don't install either the v 1.14 or v 1.15 Shareport.

I use VoIP and have disabled all ALG in the firewall.  I also stream Netflix and am connected to NAS.  All systems are go.  I'm having Internet signal problems, but they are present on the other side of the router as well.
===========
P.S.
After downgrading the 1.12NA to 1.11NA, the system seemed fine until I reloaded the 1.12NA configuration file into the 1.11NA firmware. Once the 1.12NA config file was loaded, the Status tab wireless clients disappeared AGAIN.  It seems possible a defect from the 1.12 NA firmware/config file recreated the problem.  Once I reset the 1.11NA firmware back to factory defaults, and performed a complete new config, everything has been fine.

I would not take this as a definite work around. After an upgrade, we recommend pressing the reset button for the general 10 seconds. This is to make sure that the new default config is loaded on the router.

Do you have software firewalls other than Windows firewall on the wireless PCs?
