Best Repeater to use with DIR 628?

Just bought the DIR 628 and using 1.22NA firmware with shareport working pretty well.
Was hoping that I could locate it in our newly finished basement with the signal travelling to our main floor (DI-524 had been on 2nd floor and worked fine on main and 2nd floor for last few years)

Now I realized that I will need a repeater as our main floor is concrete and won't allow the signal through.

Can I use the DI 524 as a repeater for the DI 628?  If I want to use the wireless N features on the main floor is there a better solution?  Antennae vs. N-repeater vs. plug -in repeater, etc.?

Thanks for your thoughts/help with this...
