i really need some experienced help !
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:06:14 PM »

I'm using the DIR-655 and all works well expect streaming video online.  Its (mostly) OK when streaming within the house from PC to TV etc but when watching online with sites like FOX, etc it stops every minute or so and then starts up again. Annoying so say the lest. From what i've read here its due to the fact the 655 doesn't keep a constant signal strength?   When I'm hardwired its fine.

Are there any settings/config changes that will improve this?  I'd rather not have to send this sucker back.

Thank you !

Are you running .11N wireless to your TV device ?

Have you followed the suggestions in the stickie about achieving 300 Mbps speeds ?

Is there a buffering setting for the streaming application ?  If so, maximize the buffer size and/or length

Sammydad1,  thanks for your reply...

I have followed the advice on the stickie and the TV wireless adapter is N .

Its a macbook pro that i use for the online streaming like Fox etc...  I also have my iphone connected to the network.  Would that cause any issues?

cheers.

Do you have the latest firmware?

Since it's a laptop, when happens when the laptop is in the same room?  Plugged in?
