Random disconnects
« on: March 31, 2008, 05:33:57 PM »

I got slight problem with the router. With some heavier usage router likes to disconnect for few seconds once a while. I have this thing always on and I never saw router show uptime longer than 5 days. I think when it does disconnect the lights flash like when you connect it for the first time. It doesn't disconnect just my computer, it disconnects everything that's connect to it. For comparison, I am using linksys router and it doesn't do that.

Current firmware 1.10

I used to have 1.11 but problem occurred and I flashed back to 1.10. Flahing back didn't help, 1.11 was kinda faulty. Router was slowing access to some websites. I contacted dlinks tech support and switching wan speed to 100m fixed it even though this is a gigabit router.

WAN speed has nothing to do with LAN speed or your GIGABIT conenction. Unless you're getting more then 100mbps from your ISP lockign the WAN port to 100mpbs is normal.
