Greetings,

I am trying to understand what the logs tell me so I can be sure that my network is secured. Can anyone direct me to information on understanding what all is written in the logs. I am new to wireless networking and have just recently set-up a DIR 615 in my home. An example would be " Dec 10 18:11:14 DIR-615 user.notice kernel: Wireless system with Mac address ##:##:####:##:##:## disassociate reason 8 " - Perhaps I am just being a little paranoid but having the information makes me feel a little more at ease.

Honestly, I don't think we'll ever know what these dissasociate reason # are all about
I get a ton of dissasociate reason 7 with my x360 and moments after, it drops out of xbox live.
Here's a link to CISCO's wireless LAN manual, it defines above reasons... though...

It doesn't explain much as to the reasoning behind it, but maybe someone else can chime in.
