I'm having similar problems. I'll admit up front I'm a newbie to networking stuff, so please be patient.
When you go to set up users via the web app, do you create users with existing Windows logon names? IOWs, when I try to access the network drive from Windows(logged on as the default Win user), I cannot create any folders, because Windows is asking me for the password of 'guest' which is ghosted out. Why won't it let me change the name to my default Windows logon and provide the password and start adding folders to the NAS drive? I tried adding my Win logon name as a user to the NAS box, which I successfully done, but then cannot log into the drive from XP.
Help. Thanks in advance.
